To achieve a precise fit, measuring is of the utmost importance. Please measure twice. An instructional video showing exactly how to measure can be found at the bottom of this page. If you do not have a soft measuring tape you can use a string or baling twine and tape measure or yard stick. You might also find instructional measuring images very helpful.
Add your Custom Halter to cart, drop down menu will appear, choose desired color and input your measurements 1-6. Please do not add when giving measurements, that will be taken care of for you.
Each custom halter is signed by the artist and numbered. For your convenience, your horses name and measurements are kept on file with Leather Horseman. A deerskin tassel is added to each custom halter.

How to measure for a Custom Leather Horseman's Halter

The round leather cord used to create The Leather Horseman’s Halter is carefully selected vegetable-tanned leather that is precision cut from the center of the hide.
Never turn out or leave your horse unattended in this halter, when attaching to loop below fiador knot always keep loops together—never separate, only attach snaps, lines/leads or looping tassel to loop below fiador knot.
Leather is a natural material. Stretching, wearing, coloring and aging will happen. Grain will not be uniform due to natural patterns, and color may vary slightly.
